It seems as if spring is here and hopefully to stay! With this week and into next week looking like nice weather, all golfers are getting the itch to get outside. It is great to have players who are anxious to get outside to see the ball fly again after a long, cold winter. It is looking like later this week and into next week that we will be able to head to our home course and hit some short shots before spring break. This will be the first time for this during my time here at BV. It is a great feeling that we will not go to spring break having to guess what is going to happen once we get outside.
Along with this, there is another itch going on and this is for spring break. It is less than 2 weeks away and we are getting excited to travel south to AZ for a week of nice weather, some golf, and some team bonding. During our time down there, we are looking into a variety of options such as Top Golf, working with Mike Malaska who is a top instructor, and going to some spring training / NBA games, along with playing and practicing golf of course!
It is looking like we are going to have a great season with some competition between our own to get into the traveling 5. We are ready to work hard to do what we can to play our best golf. With a short season, it is important to start strong and stay there throughout the season so we are doing our best to prepare. Each day is the most important day for us and each player is better understanding what it is going to take to win! This is the best feeling as a coach to have the players understand what it is going to take! They are getting the itch to compete and the determination to play their best golf this season!
Keep an eye out for some scores and stories in the near future.
LET'S GO BEAVERS!
